The Absa education policy dubbed “Prudential EduSave Plan” is underwritten by Prudential Uganda. The Prudential EduSave Plan is a product that provides you with an opportunity to build a fund for your child’s education as well as financial protection for your loved ones in the event of demise.
What you need to know:
- The parent or grandparent takes out the policy to provide for the child’s education
- Choose flexible policy term from 5 to 20 years
- At the expiry of the policy term - Prudential will pay the maturity value (the sum assured plus accrued bonuses), which will be paid in 3 equal annual instalments (with an option for lump-sum payment)
- In the event of the untimely death or permanent disability - Prudential will pay 50% of the sum assured for the child’s education, as well as pay the full maturity value at the expiry of the term
- Entry age - The minimum entry age for the Pru EduSave plan is 20 years and the maximum age at entry is 60 years
- Surrender value – The plan attains a cash value after it has been IN FORCE for 3 years
- Waiver of premium - Future premiums are waived if the life assured is totally and permanently disabled due to accident or dies
- Currency accepted in both UGX and USD

The Absa Family Protection Plan is an affordable way of protecting the people you care about the most. This solution is designed to help families plan for the unexpected financial hardships faced during the loss of a loved one (principal member or immediate family – spouse and biological child).
What you need to know:
- Choose from affordable packages for platinum (UGX20,000), gold (UGX10,000) and silver (UGX5,000) per month
- Cover for funeral costs and day-to-day living expenses are covered
- The policy will pay out a lump sum to your selected beneficiaries in the event of death
- Choose the family members and level of cover you wish to include in the funeral policy – ranging from UGX6,000,000 to UGX500,000
- Beneficiaries will receive payment as per signed-up benefits
- Your spouse can continue to maintain the policy in the event of your death
- You can add up to a maximum of 4 children as beneficiaries
- Parents and extended family members must be younger than 75 years when you apply

The Jubilee Invest Plus Plan is a product that provides you with an opportunity to build a fund as well as protect your loved ones financially in the event of demise. It is a life insurance product that is designed for people who are keener on return on investment than on protection.
What you need to know:
- Maturity benefit - On survival of the policyholder to the end of the policy term, the policyholder receives 100% of the sum assured. This amount is determined at inception and is guaranteed throughout the policy term
- Death benefit – On death of the policyholder during the policy term, 20% of the sum assured is payable to the policyholder’s named beneficiary (ies)
- Waiver of premium – Inbuilt waiver of future premiums on death of policy holder
- Surrender value – The plan attains a cash value after it has been IN FORCE for at least 3 years
- Minimum sum assured – UGX20,000,000
- Maturity benefit payable as a lump sum or in installments
