    2. Pause Absa Pay: Temporarily stop transactions with a simple toggle.
    3. Remove a card: Delete a card from Absa Pay whenever you need to.
    4. Stop and replace: Instantly replace your digital card for added security.

  • How to set up

    Getting started is quick and easy:

    1. Log in to your Absa Mobile App
    2. Go to Card Management
    3. Select your card type
    4. Tap Register for Absa Pay and accept the terms
    5. Turn on NFC when prompted
    6. Approve the request in your mobile banking app
    7. You’re ready to tap and pay

  • One-tap payment with Absa Pay

    1. Unlock your phone.
    2. Tap the back of your phone on the merchant’s point-of-sale (POS) device.
    3. Payment is completed instantly. Fast, secure, and contactless.

  • Two-tap payment with Absa Pay

    1. Unlock your phone and tap on the point-of-sale (POS) device.
    2. Authorise the payment using biometrics or PIN.
    3. Tap again to confirm and complete the transaction.

  • Manual mode payment with Absa Pay

    1. Open the Absa Mobile Banking App and select Absa Pay.
    2. Choose the card you want to use.
    3. Tap your phone on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device to complete the payment.
