    • Card replacement fee (of UGX25,000) is free in case of fraud
    • Forex mark-up of 6% on international transactions
    • Minimum repayment amount of 5% per month
    • Interest rate of 3.5% on outstanding payments on billed account
    • Cash access fee via ATMs of 6% minimum UGX10,000
    • Over-limit fee of 6%
    • Late payment fee of 10% minimum UGX10,000

    Medical coverage:
    • Medical expenses for injury or illness: Up to $45,000
    • Follow-up treatment expenses in the country of residence: $1,500
    • Medical evacuation expenses: $6,000
    • Repatriation of mortal remains/burial expenses: $6,000
    • Accompanying family member coverage: $1,000 (only for personal platinum credit card holders)
    Additional coverage:
    • Premature return in case of death or imminent death: $1,500
    • Legal assistance coverage: $500 (only for personal platinum credit card holders)
    Loss or theft coverage:
    • Luggage, trade samples, personal effects loss or theft: $1,000

    Buy Now Pay Later

    This is a feature on Absa Credit Cards that allows you to make purchases using any of our credit cards and convert the transaction to an easy instalment plan of up to 12 months at reduced interest rates. You can choose your desired payment plan and manage your payment digitally via the Absa Mobile Banking App or internet banking.

    Convert purchase to Buy Now Pay Later: 
    • Log in to Absa Internet Banking or the Absa Uganda Mobile App
    • Select a credit card
    • On internet banking, click on Statemented Transactions, then on Get started on the Buy Now Pay Later banner above the list of latest transactions
    • On the app, select Billed statement and tap the Buy Now Pay Later banner
    • Select the purchase(s) you want to convert and check if they qualify
    • Choose 3, 6, 9 or 12-month plan to pay your bill
    • Confirm your payment plan details and submit your request

    What is an eStatement?

    An e-Statement is a secure electronic version of your bank Credit card statement, available via Absa Online Banking and the Absa Mobile App. It contains the same information as a paper statement and can be accessed anytime, anywhere.

    How do I register for eStatements?

    You can register easily through Absa Online Banking or the Absa Mobile App. Simply log in, go to the Statements or Profile Settings section, and select e Statements to enroll.

    Is there a fee for eStatements?

    No. eStatements are provided at no cost to you.

    How will I know when my eStatement is ready?

    You will receive an email and/or SMS notification when your eStatement is available.

    Are eStatements secure?

    Yes. Your eStatements are accessed through Absa’s secure digital banking platforms, ensuring your information remains protected.

    Can I download or print my eStatement?

    Yes. You can download your eStatement in PDF format and print it at your convenience.

    How far back can I access my eStatements?

    You can access your recent eStatements through digital banking. For older statements, please contact us for assistance.

    What should I do if I cannot access my eStatement?

    Please confirm that you are logged into your digital banking profile. If the issue persists, contact our Absa Contact Centre or visit your nearest branch.

    Can I switch back to paper statements?

    Yes. You can update your statement preference at any time via digital banking or by contacting us.
